How to transport your garden into your kitchen

The Loop is a new concept from Teresa Ttillebacher and Birgit Dejaco from Austria and is a must have for every green home. This trendy piece of furniture is actually a structure where you can grow your own plants and provide energy to all kitchen appliances!

Thinking green is becoming a way of life now rather than a passing trend. More people are making conscious buying decisions based on the effect the products are having on the environment.

The Loop is both green and ergonomic in design with a contemporary and cozy space to relax. You ‘feed it’ with compost from your kitchen and in return it ‘feeds you’ with both gas and electricity.

Integrated with a methane gas processor, loop extracts methane from the decomposing materials. The Methane produced is used to cook food or gets converted into electricity by a methanol fuel cell.

You can then grow your owns veggies or plants on the surface due to the consistently warm surface. This is the ultimate green accessory that will grow and evolve with time.

OK... looks great - and have been wondering for a long while why methane isn't being used - so where does it come from and who stocks it??

All sounds great and looks good too, but how much r these things gonna cost?

Fantastic Idea but how large is the loop and would it appear unsightly in a kitchen?
