A third of homes in Barcelona and Madrid lower asking prices

spain.jpgThe percentage of homes for sale of which the owners have lowered their price have increased in the last three months reaching 32.9% of the properties for sale in Madrid and 34.8% in Barcelona, according to a survey of Spanish property portal idealista.com based on the analysis of the prices of 26,405 homes.

It seems that one third of the owners has understood the need of reducing prices so that their properties become attractive for demand and thus to try to carry out the sale. Although these decreases aren’t very important yet, taking into account the current price of homes, idealista.com CEO Jesús Encinar indicated that the fact there have been decreases in offer prices is meaningful.
